Inquiry made by client

The development, production and delivery of new rotating panels with adapted image configuration for 22 rotation locations on the A28. Why? Due to the adaptation of the maximum speed limit on the A28, the image configuration changed. This, therefore, had to be done on all 22 locations.

Course of the project

Sanne Bolder, Work planner BAM Infra Verkeerstechniek BV; “We were very satisfied with the course of the project. AGMI Traffic & Lighting had a very sympathetic attitude and perfect cooperation throughout the course of the project. In addition, the project was completed very quickly and no errors were made.

We started with getting a clear picture of the existing situation, such as the direction of rotation, the dimensions and the types of rotating panels, which were used currently. In order to do this according to our plan, AGMI Traffic & Lighting had drawn up an inventory form with a clear checklist, which was necessary to obtain all of the correct information for installing and producing the new rotation panels.

After a successful FAT the production, delivery and placement all happened accordingly to plan”

Particularities project

Before starting the project, we started doing inventory which was carried out in two nights to determine the dimensions and the types of rotating panels. This was done by BAM Infra Verkeerstechniek. During this inventory, pictures were taken of each side of the rotating panels and also the rotating direction of the panels was checked. VCNWN has remotely rotated the panels into the desired position.

Hereafter, based on the inventory report, BAM Infra Verkeerstechniek produced fact sheets which were audited and approved by Rijkswaterstaat. AGMI Traffic & Lighting then made the DWG drawings of all rotational locations. After this had been done, all of the orders were released and the production started.

Prior to delivery of the rotating panels, a FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) was carried out at the AGMI Traffic & Lighting factory. During the FAT, the dimensions and figurations of the lamellas were checked and approved. In week 40, the panels were exchanged with BAM Infra Verkeerstechniek. All of this went very smoothly.
