Nominated for the Circular Awards 2025

Nominated for the Circular Awards 2025

We are proud to share that this year we have been nominated for the Circular Awards 2025! More than 200 companies participated in this prestigious competition, and we are honoured to be among the 13 organisations on the shortlist. Although we just missed reaching the final, we see this nomination as a fantastic recognition of our ongoing work in circularity and sustainable innovation.

What are the Circular Awards?

The Circular Awards highlight the most impactful circular projects, organisations, and supply chain collaborations in the Netherlands. The awards are organised on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management by Helder en Duidelijk, in collaboration with Het Groene Brein.

The awards and categories

In 2025, the election will take place for the eighth time. The awards are presented in the following categories:

  • Business: For companies excelling in circular innovation.
  • Public: For governments and public organisations with leading circular projects.
  • Chain: For the most progressive supply chain collaborations in the circular economy.

The reality on the road

Although the standard maximum speed on highways in the Netherlands is 130 km/h, the reality is different. Almost everywhere, traffic signs limit the speed to 100 km/h during the day. As a result, there is effectively no stretch of highway where drivers can freely drive 130 km/h during daytime.

By paying close attention to the signs and knowing the applicable rules, drivers can travel more safely and consciously.

In addition, the title Circular Hero is awarded to an individual who has proven themselves as a true frontrunner in this field.

Final and award ceremony

The winners will be announced during the National Circular Economy Conference on 20 March 2025 in Leeuwarden. This takes place as part of the Circular Economy Week, an event where circular successes are shared and new collaborations are encouraged.
