Request from the client
Above the A1 motorway between Muiderberg and Bussum, a total of 45 new background shields for signal generators need to be installed on fourteen traffic support structures in order to reuse the signal generators that have been freed up by the SAA-one project in a sustainable manner.

Project progress
With the implementation of SAA-one, a large number of SAGO sub-installations were replaced, freeing up WKS (type 1.0.1.a) (roadside stations) and LED signal generators (V3). Instead of scrapping them as usual, it was decided to reuse these installations from 2010 and deploy them sustainably on the A1 motorway.

By keeping the implementation planning of the project tight from the moment the order was placed, production, transport, and delivery in the correct (implementation) order were carried out efficiently. This resulted in a smooth project, with the work being completed correctly in one go."
Products supplied
AGMI supplied 45 background shields for the LED matrix signal generators in this project. The signal generators are attached to AGMI's sustainable Cradle to Cradle ALISA system. As this project focused on the sustainable use of products, the system fits in perfectly with this.
The sustainable ALISA system, which is made of aluminum, is Cradle to Cradle Bronze certified. This means that the entire product can be reused.
