Inquiry made by client

Above the A1 between Muiderberg – Bussum, a total of 45 new background shields for signalling devices had to be placed on fourteen traffic support structures. This had to be done in order to be able to permanently reuse the signal emitters of the SAA-one project.

Why did our client choose AGMI?

Laurens Huisman, project manager Infra Vialis; “Vialis and AGMI do business together on a regular basis. In previous projects, AGMI has shown its professionality and, therefore, we chose AGMI again. Because of their professionalism combined with the Cradle to Cradle certificate AGMI has on the ALISA system, the choice was easy.

Course of the project

With the implementation of SAA-one, a large number of SAGO sub-installations have been replaced with WKS’ (type 1.0.1.a. – road side stations) and LED signalling devices (V3) have been released. It was decided that instead of scrapping the devices, the 2010 models would be reused and installed in a way that they were permanently installed on the A1 motorway.

Laurens Huisman, Project manager Infra Vialis; “Vialis has designed the background shield in close consultation with AGMI, after which they have been put into production by AGMI. By keeping the execution of the project as focused as possible, it was efficiently produced, transported and delivered in a correct order. This resulted in an overall smooth project, in which the work only had to be done once.”

The cooperation resulted in an overall smooth project, in which the work only had to be done once.

Delivered products

Within this project, AGMI supplied 45 background shields for the LED matrix signalling devices. The signalling devices are attached to AGMI’s sustainable Cradle to Cradle ALISA system. Since this project was all about the sustainable use of products, the system is simply in line with this purpose.

The durable ALISA system, which was made of aluminum, is Cradle to Cradle Bronze certified. This means that the entire product can be reused.
