Why AGMI Traffic & Lighting?

Irene Maaskant, Technical Manager at Compass Infrastructure Netherlands: “We chose AGMI because of their involvement in the previous P+R project and our client's positive experiences with AGMI.”

How did the project go?

Irene Maaskant, Technical Manager at Compass Infrastructure Netherlands: “The project was a success. AGMI gave us the opportunity to connect and test the displays. The installation of the signs and their commissioning went smoothly. So, as far as Compass is concerned, it was a successful collaboration!”

Products supplied

We developed, produced, and installed a total of eight Cradle-to-Cradle mast signs (four large and four small) and five Cradle-to-Cradle rider signs. The four mast signs for the A roads (largest size 6.5 m wide and 6.9 m high with a text display 6.5 m wide and 1.6 m high) and the four mast signs for the N roads (3.5 m wide and 2.7 m high with a text display measuring 3.5 m wide and 0.75 m high) are equipped with multiple VVX displays. The rider signs were installed to replace previously installed P+R signs.

Bijzonderheden project

The project is a follow-up to the successful ‘P+R Rotterdam and S numbering’ project, in which we developed, produced, and delivered new P+R signage and S numbering in Rotterdam so that road users are aware of the current number of available parking spaces at the designated P+R location. This project involved close collaboration with many stakeholders. For example, there was intensive cooperation with VDL to ensure that the interface between the sign and the mast was coordinated during the development of the masts. In addition, an extensive Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) was carried out, during which the signs were connected to the traffic control center in Rotterdam so that the entire data collection process could be tested. A complete chain test was performed. The advantage of this is that the signs worked immediately after installation once the connectors were connected.
