National Traffic Signs Return Day

National Traffic Signs Return Day

It started with our mission to produce traffic signs and signage in the most sustainable way possible. This quest led us to the circular production process (re-sign) that we use every day today. An essential part of this is the machine we developed ourselves to remove foil from existing traffic and signage boards, using only high pressure and rainwater.

With 600,000 surplus traffic signs in the United Kingdom, we want to stop making new ones and only reuse existing ones. And thanks to an increasing number of customers, we are well on our way to achieving this! Around 95% of the traffic signs we deliver are reused signs.

In order to continue delivering re-sign signs and even reach 100%, we need sufficient used traffic signs. That is why we are launching the National Traffic Sign Collection Day. We are calling on you, as a local authority, contractor or manager, to contribute to our mission: hand in your traffic signs and purchase Re-Sign signs!

Are you already handing in your old traffic and signage boards?

Are you already handing in boards? Great! Find out here what you are already contributing to and how you are making a difference with this contribution.

Not yet? Then now is the time to start! Every reusable traffic sign that is handed in to us contributes to a cleaner and more sustainable environment. There are already 600,000 surplus traffic signs in circulation, and the more we collect together for reuse, the greater the positive impact on the environment.

What participation yields

The National Traffic Sign Collection Day is all about reducing surplus traffic and signage and reusing old signs instead of producing new ones. In this way, we are taking steps towards a more sustainable public space. More and more municipalities, contractors and administrators are opting for the AGMI Re-sign concept and taking action to recycle surplus traffic signs. The more municipalities and other administrators participate, the greater the impact!

  • Reduction of surplus traffic signs. The fewer, the better
  • A significant reduction in CO2 emissions through reuse and our circular production method
  • An interesting cost saving thanks to our deposit system. So far, we have been able to return €42,662 in deposits!
