Warning signs
Photo-illuminating signs, also called omitting signs, hold on to illumination for some time in the event of sudden darkness. The purpose of the after glowing signs, is to visually alert road users to escape routes. The signs ensure that self-rescue is increased in case of calamities.
Important advantages
The signs are resistant to particulate matter/ road salt
All of the light in a tunnel combined, is sufficient to illuminate the phosphor for a longer period of time (at least 60 min)
